This book covers a wide range of subjects seem to respond to an audience of students at elite schools. While providing very interesting insights into the challenges, skills, lifestyles, etc related to the prestige of the industry, I think that if there were not enough “real estate” in the book dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage on careers in these industries. In fact, there are books out there dedicated to these industries convering. For example, two of the best, Vault.com Guide to Investment Banking and Management Consulting Vault.com Guide to the coverage of these industries have done better thoroughly. What Fast Track, which was to be a little more focused in this offered, not as books Vault.com. Instead of addressing what I consider three different industries, in so short of pages that have been most effective in expanding the book, or even to break into three complete books. But Unfortunately, most professional specialty books in the industry, this book is a good complement to ambitious graduates (both MBA and college) of land in the prestigious financial and consulting positions at school.

new chapter review The Fast Track: The Insider Guide to Winning Jobs in Management Consulting, investment banking and securities Rating:
This book provides a good overview of various facets of management consulting and investment banking. For those considering an MBA as a bridge for these two races, is a good place to begin your search. As my interest in management consulting. . 1) The culture requires teamwork, high quality and constantly evolving. “You’re as good as your last project.” (P. 44) 2) “Most people do not need to be managed McKinsey. This is another dynamic – we are trained … Managers are evaluated on how the coach.” (P. 57) 3) core competencies: individualism analytical, interpersonal skills and intellectual curiosity. (P. 145) 4) interview questions on the recovery, use the approach of the APL:
Background: Located action
stage: What have you done?
Results: What is the impact? 5) Good list of interview questions (page 199-200). The most interesting thing I saw: “Where do you think of the consulting industry is headed?” 6) the five qualities that distinguish a great interview subject:
– structured, clearly shows that you think
broad perspective – shows that cover all angles
– concise and linear thinking and
– business acumen, demonstrates that you can find high-impact areas
– creative ideas, shows that ideas can be found in its resource base ownAnother good for management consulting:

Jussi Björling review The Fast Track: The Insider Guide to Winning Jobs in Management Consulting, investment banking and trading Rating:
This book is a good job of explaining how these companies operate and how they recruit. However, it will be very useful if you are looking for a job. These places are looking for people with professional backgrounds, skills, and only cares about how many books you read or the number of questions that I played well. Anyway, read this book, but it is more important to work on the connections and make sure that the content of your CV (no form) is strong.

MC_5 review The Fast Track: The Insider Guide to Winning Jobs in Management Consulting, investment banking and securities Classification
/ b> Fast Track is a well-written book on the work of consulting and investment . It is written by a woman who has been both a consultant and investment banker. The book is full of useful information on interviewing, cover letters, resumes, and employment bases. But do not use this book in itself. First, the directory in the back of the book is full of time sensitive information. It is also recommended in the book that you go to the website of the company before submitting an application form. If you are interested in viewing, purchasing books written specifically on the issues of the case. If you are interested in investment banking, make sure you have an experience that is exactly what the investment bankers, because the book does not really give you a good idea. A couple of points: Although the book is written by a minority of women, the book has no employment programs for minorities. If you fit this bill, it would be worth your time to study that. The book is written specifically for the 4.0 GPa at UPenn, Harvard and Stanford. Spend a little time for the “indiscriminate”, but it is clear that if you do not have the qualities, and not go to the right school, you’re out of luck. Talk to your school counselor about your school graduates that may be in the area of interest in.the book attempts to entice you to become an investment bank or consultant. Despite trying to be fair, it is clear that not only provides a general overview. Read books like “Liar’s Poker” and “Monkey Business” for an honest look at occupations. Your best bet, however, is to find someone in your area of interest and consultation. Only then can you get a complete picture.

I am a student of high solid-state, small “nonspecific” school of liberal arts. I think the advice in this book is for elite students who already have a great advantage. They are not the only ones who should know, job seekers and consultations are not Ivy League schools deserve better advice. If the school your degree is not the “brand”, it is best to consult the opinion of the books of the more optimistic and realistic. Ms. Naficy’s book is depressing and their perceptions are distorted. I put the book feel more satisfied and called my academic advisor (who is a consultant in itself) to the best advice.
