I purchased 500,000.00 Iraqi dinar over several months and have been holding them since shortly after the war broke out. I have been watching the rates but can’t seem to find anything listed now. What would 500,000.00 Iraqi dinar be worth in U.S. Dollars? Where can I take them to exchange for USD?

The good news: According to the web site linked below, the current official exchange rate is 1150 Dinars to US.00.
The bad news: No currency exchange or bank anywhere in North America will give you more than half of that. There is no demand for them, and they can’t sell them at a profit. You may be able to sell them to a coin shop as collectibles.
Iraqi Dinars are a lousy investment, and you are about to find that out the hard way.
